same here. I went to a Sears with my mom once in like 1995 and I saw one of those huge-arse wooden box number where it's like a 25 inch tv inside of a wooden piece of furniture. I asked my mom if we could get it and she looked at the price tag said, "my god that's more than your dad makes in a month!"

idk what that cost but pops was an accountant, we were middle class but it's not like we were broke
