Right. Bama takes them out of the playoffs and they think they’re equal to Bama somehow. Really, they just get to see more of what it’s like to have to play them each year.

Our playoff starts each year with the Bama game. No one else who is competing for Championships has it as difficult as LSU having to play Bama, AU, and UF each year.

If we include 2000 (because that’s the only way to make it a close comparison):

OU: 1-3 in Nattys with the last appearance being 2008 and the last win being 2000, including a head to head loss.

LSU: 2-1 in Nattys with the last appearance being 2011 with the last win being 2007, including a head to head win.

That’s pretty even, with the edge going to LSU with one more ring and a more recent appearance and win, plus a head to head.

While we all know if LSU played in the XII, they’d be in the CFP every year (like OU gets to do bc of the weak conference), the SEC is several levels above any other conference and our playoffs start in the regular season since we have to play 3 consistent contenders each year (AL, AU, UF) and another in rotating seasons and in the SEC Champ game (UGA).

It’s rough out here in the South...but OU fans seem to feel like they have to prove they’re better than everyone already knows they are.
