Auburn had 287 yards of offense and LSU had 508 yards of offense and LSU ended up with just 3 more points.

Auburn had zero drives of more than 25 yards that failed to result in points.

LSU had 4 drives of more than 25 yards, including 3 of more than 40 yards, that failed to result in points.

So no, I don't think Auburn could say that they and LSU were equally inefficient regarding their use of scoring opportunities.
