I remembered fearing they'd dominate politics given how they bred like rabbits but their follow on generations were awash in mediocrity. Hell, the last part of JFK's generation was below mediocrity.

...AND Chicago was delivered by Daley who bought up election eve TV ad time as well as a ton of graveyard votes that swung IL from Nixon to JFK.
Daley got his karmic payback 8 years later when there was chaos around the city during the DNC Convention. A national embarrassment on so many levels.
