LSU is about to pay him a lot of money to stick around.
The last big "don't sweat it" narrative was that the Board of Supervisors would approve Brady's new contract at their next meeting,

That meeting was yesterday - not on the agenda which is public record.

I certainly never subscribed to that narrative. I do have faith in O and Woodward that they'll lock him up in due time. You need to chill out.

Since you love to play "Mr. Know It All" and take the beat down approach of "I'm right, your wrong" mentality with everyone, then allow me to take a moment and educate you on how the LSU Board of Supervisors works.

First off, you answered your own comeback when you said that LSU BOS mtgs are subject to public record, which they are. Knowing that, LSU is not going to place his new contract on the agenda for approval before the season is over, which they have said repeatedly, as it would likely lead to a distraction b/c the details would be out there for all to discuss and analyze. Those details will obviously include some possible shifting of other coaches that needs not be made public right now.

Second, what is not subject to public records or meeting access is executive sessions or committee meetings of the Board. So it very well stands to reason that IF a contract has been negotiated and put in front of Brady to sign, then you can bet your bottom dollar that it has already been run through at least the Athletic Committee of the Board and the Chairman to give their approval on it, thus making it a rubber stamp action when officially placed on the agenda at a later meeting after the season is over.

Third, this is how it has always been done with coaches, whether it be new hires or contract extensions/re-negotiations. The AD negotiates with the coach, signs a contract in principal that is subject to final review and approval of the BOS. But the fact remains that when that contract is first put out there, conversations have already been had with the BOS to ensure it will be approved when officially put up for vote.

So yes, it is very possible (if what insiders and local media are saying is true about a new package put together for Brady and him signing it) for Brady to have signed and it not be put to the BOS for official approval or to be made public knowledge yet.

And should you want my credentials on the subject: I am someone who used to work in higher ed. policy and closely with LSU admin and BOS; and that's all you need to know.
