If FSU does pass on Norvell, whoever you do pursue is going to demand solid money because of the FSU name. And here is truth you seem to be unaware of- the market doesn’t give a shite about your school’s bad last hire or current financial and political situation. If any other school might pay it, they will hold it over you. This is a seller’s market and if they are worth a damn, someone will give them the money.

I am aware of this , only stupid people follow what someone else does instead of doing what's best for them .

What is worse , is calling fans from a school that is looking for a new coach stupid because they don't get a boner over the coaches that give them a boner.

If Orgeron got run over by a truck , I wouldn't tell LSU fans they were stupid for not liking a coach that I did.

It's like the agents for Kiffin , Campbell and Norvell are posting here.

Say what you will, but your admin chose to make a move in a year with few available candidates that measure up to larger jobs. If they are too good for Kiffin and Norvell, then what the frick are you guys doing other than swinging the wrecking ball at your program again? Who would you get otherwise?

I’m not calling you stupid. Shortsighted and arrogant maybe, but not stupid. You and your admin may not care what other schools are doing, but the candidates you are trying to hire and their agents do. FSU is still a big name, but not big enough to pull who they wanted to initially and not big enough to make their own rules when it comes to hiring a new coach. That’s just the reality of hiring a coach to a big time P5 school today.

LSU was in better shape in 2016 than FSU is today, and Alleva couldn’t just auto-stamp a hire and he had better available choices to work with than you guys do this year. It worked out in the end, but that was luck, honestly. Schools aren’t driving this process and naming their terms. The top available coaches are holding all the cards.

If you don’t like fans of other teams commenting on your potential hires, then what are you doing here? That’s what this board is all about.
