Watch the video, read the own refs words on what happened. Houston immediately starts arguing and discussing the call with the ref. There is no fricking challenge flag in basketball, you challenge a play by discussing it with the ref. The 30 second window for anyone with common sense would be met as long as the coach starts the dialogue in this window. The fact this braindead ref is saying it was "challenged too later" (thats his own words

I haven't seen video of D'Antoni, but here is the protocol for a coach's challenge - LINK

I've seen video of them all pointing down to say the basket went through, but nothing twirling the finger. Granted, I haven't seen video of the timeout yet.
