re: To all Gentry bashers

The only consistent things are: bad team and injured through most of his tenure. They've had good offenses. They've had good defenses. They've been good ATO, they've been bad ATO. They've been great in Clutch situations, they've been terrible in Clutch situations, etc etc etc.

What this OP is correct about is that all the frustrations with the losses get dumped onto the head coach, which is, ultimately, part of the job. Yet, when the offense was humming, many were quick to praise Finch. When the defense looked good, it was all Erman. When things go south, it's Gentry is a bum. That's funny to me; it just always happens that way.

Maybe. Maybe not. Way too much emphasis put into this by fans. These guys are pros; they know when they fricked up. You can hold professionals accountable without treating them like middle schoolers. Screaming at them on the court is more about the coach flexing his ego than anything else and Thibs's flameouts are a good example.
