Bond being a ladies man, successfully, has always been part of the formula.
Being an emasculated beta male husband isn't James Bond.
James Bond drinks, he smokes, he gambles, he has meaningless flings with random hot chicks who want his D.
You know, activities men have always enjoyed, but now since masculinity has been deemed a disease that needs curing he has to be a nu-male soy boy.
