How is it going so far?
24 Ballots
Top 10 stacked with obviously popular films, but not a terrible mix.
98 films have multiple votes, so only 2 spots left.
Spielberg in the lead now with 5 films in the 100, Hitchcock sits at 4, with Coens, Tarantino, Scorcese.
1994 and 1999 seem to be the most well-liked years of film.
My qualms:
Not enough foreign movies in the 100. Only 1 Bergman and Kurosawa, no Fellini, no Tarkovsky. But that kind of stuff to be expected.
Snow White is absent as well, surprisingly.
Some movies missing that I figured would be shoe ins - namely Gladiator (even though I hate it, I know tons love it), Life is Beautiful, and Titanic.
<----------Sad that City Lights is quickly fading....no one else must have seen that movie. Maybe I'll make a thread about its awesomeness, plenty of places to watch it online.
