It's because you get to choose who to be around for the holiday instead of being forced with family. Most people enjoy their friends more than at least parts of their family.

I guess I wouldn’t have been salty if some of the kid’s parents had been involved. Again I love these kids and give most LSU gear for Christmas. They come over to watch the Tigers every Saturday.
