I live in the Amazon mothership region and started getting same day delivery on some items recently. Most are within 1 day now. This isn't through the Prime Now app, which has done same day delivery on select items for a few years now.
It's been great.

We've gotten a few things same day in BR. It's mostly been fairly common items that they keep in stock locally though. Most stuff is 2 days. I'd imagine this will probably improve that though.
