I think you're reading that wrong. The "hi/low" is a team's hi and low rankings for the season. If you look at ESPN's rankings you can clearly see Alabama has no first place votes this week.

If you’re talking about the hi/lo column, that is for the entire season not the week alone. No coach voted Bama #1 this week (see “1st” column for first place votes this week).
