I would argue with his jump passes, poor off ball rotations and turnovers he's always been a pretty low IQ player. It's been 11 years now? And he still avoids contact at the rim, as in shape as he is it just doesn't make any sense to me.
He still can't shoot. And his midrange game has taken a hit.
What I mean by him not consistently having to guard the opposing team's best player is now we can actually switch fair on ball defenders to that player. Hart, Bi, Jackson isn't bad on ball neither. All that being we said our backcourt (Jrue, Lonzo) still give up a ton of dribble penetration.
As far as his contract I would say he lived up to it last year, and during our lone playoff series. But if can't give you at least 20, 5, 7 a night. Do you really want to pay him near max for what he provides? It's not like he really has any winning intangibles we've seen all these years. I think it's a fair question
