It is actually to the SEC's interests for both teams to make the playoffs. I don't believe the narrative that a close Bama loss keeps them out of the playoffs. Greater than 50% chance they can back door again. If they don't then Bama fatigue has really set in.

I agree, but I don't think that the SEC will get two teams in the top four this season. There are too many undefeated/one loss teams. I think that Bama is more likely to get in with one loss because of their "pedigree." I don't see the committee putting a team not named Bama that didn't win their conference in the playoff.
