Orel Herschiser just mentioned there are 9 ways to score from third that won't score you from second. I can come up with these. What else is there?
1. Walk
2. Balk
3. Sac fly (technically, could score from 2nd though?)
4. Wild pitch (technically, could score from 2nd though?)
5. Sac bunt
6. Steal home
7. Groundout

Safety squeeze? I guess that would be considered a sac?

I was considering a safety squeeze a sac.
I was also considering a passed ball the same as a wild pitch.
And I just thought of an error on the pitcher throwing to a base. But again, technically that could score someone from second.

but then you could score from second.

some could be considered the same..
1. Bases loaded walk
2. Bases loaded hit by pitch
3. Balk
4. Sac Fly
5. Suicide squeeze
6. Ground ball error
7.Dropped shallow fly error (not deep enough to be considered a sac fly)
8. Wild pickoff by pitcher
9. Wild pickoff by catcher
10. Passed ball
11. Dropped third strike by cathcer; he throws to first while runner on third scores.
12 Steal of home
13. Wild pitch
14. Fielder interference. That is a fielder blocks the runner's path without possesion of the ball.
15. Sac fly on a foul pop up, usually caught by an outfielder in foul territory

Only if forced.
The answer to the original question of the thread is infield hit and infield error.

Homerun and the baserunner on 2nd over runs the baserunner on 3rd, before he makes it home, technically making the baserunner on 2nd out. Likely doubtful to happen.

Boo-ya.
But to be fair, there must have been a catch about not being forced in?

That one is interesting. When I was a senior in HS, early 80's, I played catcher. State Finals. We had two outs, full count, bases loaded, next to last inning, up by one run with the State HR leader at bat for the other team. He couldnt hit a curve worth shite and thats all we were throwing him but my pitcher was getting tired and his throws were falling short of the plate but the guy was still swinging at them. I turned around and asked the Ump, what happens on a dropped third strike w the bases loaded with two outs...can I just touch the plate? He called T.O , conferred with the other Umps, and said "yes". My Coach was calling for a fastball from the dugout as he didnt want a run walked in, I shook him off, called for a curve. Sure enough, the ball landed short of the plate, the big big boy went for it, missed it, I blocked it, the guy took off for first, my coaches and teamates started screaming and i casually walked out in front, picked up the ball and stepped on the plate and flipped the ball to the Ump who called the runner on third out at home. Huge argument followed.
Point is, the catcher may not have to throw it to first.....

well,, based upon the info provided to me, both runner interference and catchers inteference will score a run from third that couldnt be scored from second

I think #3 and 4 of my original question might not count. But it really depends on what you can lump together or not, i.e. do you count a walk as the same as a hbp?
I've been doing some things around the apt. so I haven't heard if Orel answered his question or not.
