Last night was pretty good as teams in action went 4-1.

Northwestern State hit a three at the buzzer to win at Nicholls 73-72. The Demons were led by Jairus Roberson's 24 points and got double doubles from both Chudier Bile (10 points & 10 rebounds) and Trenton Massner (10 points & 12 rebounds) as well as a 10 point effort from John Norvel in the win. The Colonels had five players in double figures including Warith Alatishe (18), Elvis Harvey (15), Dexter McClanahan (14), Kevin Johnson (10) and D'Angelo Hunter (10) but it wasn't quite enough. Northwestern State improves to 7-9 overall and 4-3 in the Southland while Nicholls drops to 11-7 and 5-2.

McNeese beat Incarnate Word 72-56. AJ Lawson was the leading scorer for the Cowboys with 19 points and Shamarkus Kennedy had a double double with 12 points & 16 rebounds. Dru Kruxhausen added a 15 point effort in the win. McNeese is now 8-9 on the year and back to .500 in conference at 3-3.

Southeastern picked up a 62-56 win over Texas A&M-CC. Byron Smith, Maxwell Starwood and Ty Brewer were the double figure scorers for the Lions with 16, 12 & 11 points respectively in the win. Southeastern improves to 5-12 on the season and 2-4 in SLC play.

UNO got a 106-98 road win at Houston Baptist. The Privateers got two twenty point efforts from Bryson Robinson who scored 26 and Raquan Brown who scored 20. Troy Green and Ahren Freeman both scored 19 and Gerrale Gates had 11 points in the win. UNO now sits at 6-11 overall and 2-5 in the SLC.
