Meh. I think some would respect doing what’s right and fair for your franchises success.

Part of investing in a reclamation project is capturing the value in their success. Cause you surely risk the money and picks in the failure. Teddy knew in his best case scenario the saints had an option on his rights. Nothing shameful in that.

That said, it may not be a slam dunk to get a top pick and see him get paid. The move does come with some risk if he signs a tag and the trades just don’t work out easy
