I’ve been waiting till we got through our schedule to post this. But IF Tua plays...and I expect him to play...we need to
Mix zone and man calls. On the zone coverages you need to disguise the actual coverage and bracket the single WR. In man coverage you need to take away the inside slants on the RPO plays on the single WR and inside WR on 11 personnel sets. That means wall him off completely at the snap.
Force the low percentage throws and hope you give enough funny reads to make up pull down the football and throw the low percentage 1v1 balls.
One RPO killer is to scout where they throw it (ex: to the backs side because he’s crossing he Quarterback’s face and blitz the apex defender that Tua is reading. When you do that you need to have the next inside backer flow fast to the slant and knock his dick in the dirt or pick it off. You can only do this if your line is handling the run game in the middle.
Another way to do this ^^^^ if you don’t want to sacrifice the inside backers from the run game is to jump it with a safety.
