Advocate bought out NOLA Times Picayune and got rid of most of the decent writers.
Same ownership.
The more clicks you get the better your product will be, I guess they haven't figured that out yet.

Most of those writers were let go when the Newhouse family bought the Times-Picayune. Some of those made it to the Advocate and are still there.
www.crescentcitysports.com has good high school coverage and decent Saints and LSU. It is mostly Kenny Trahan, Ed Daniels, Les East, Rene Nadeau, Jude Young, and Emmanuel Pepys (sp.?) So, long-time local reporters who have made their bones in sports coverage.
Louisiana Prep Scoreboard on ESPN 104.5 Facebook is worth a follow if you do FB, if not I guess use the stations web site.
On Twitter, I don't much like Twitter, follow Robin Fambrough of the Advocate and Jim Derry of NOLA, they usually have links. Friday Night Football on NOLA 38/WGNO have Twitter and FB presence as well as show episodes on the WGNO website.
