The next round will probably be nieces and nephews.
I've attended several of my second cousin's weddings over the last 10 years. My uncle (90), and my dad (88) are all that's left of 12 siblings. Most of this uncle's kids live in the Denver area, and my parents don't like to drive in big cities, especially one's they're not familiar with. It gives the two brothers a chance to visit. I always go, and drive my parents around. I worked some summers for this uncle, with a couple of my cousins, building houses. My brother lived out by the Red Rocks amphitheater, and worked in Littleton back then too.
My uncle was known for developing neighborhoods with quality spec homes. Those two cousins have their own company, and build custom homes.
My uncle married a Catholic woman, and they had seven kids. There are still three or four 2nd cousins that haven't graduated high school, so more trips will be made out there.
Planning a trip around, and attending, a wedding is about the best way can think of to visit relatives. Much better than a funeral, or even a family reunion. Don't have to invite the deadbeats to a weddding.
