Coons are mean as all hell. I shot one with my bow once because I was hungry like that and it made this god awful squelching while it was flopping around with my arrow through it's chest. When I went pick it up there were about 10 sets of coon eyes watching me. Spooked the shite out of me. I was working down by Point Au Chen Island years back and an old coonass got in to it with one that was hiding behind an electrical panel. He put on welding gloves and drug it out and that coon about tore his ear off. I wouldn't want to corner one without a weapon. A coon will 100% f#ck you up. You'll win the fight, sure. I bet you wouldn't want to fight one again, though.

I don't walk around the woods on my tippy toes trying to avoid raccoons but if I see one I'm not fooling with it.
