Im sure his story glosses over a few facts as well.

Likely was one of the widows neighbor reporting her to the association. HOAs field request all the time from direct neighbors reports each other.

I'm no stranger to douchebag neighbors getting in feuds and turning each other in for HOA violations. I was getting ready to turkey hunt last year and saw a neighbor at 4a.m. on the golf course going around the perimeter of our neighborhood with a flashlight looking into people's yards for violations because someone had turned him in

Not missing facts at all. There is one particular woman that rides around on her bike, and it is well known what she is doing. She's a nice enough person, but is definitely on a mission to document violations.

In context, the letter was factual, and to the point, stating that if the issue wasn't cleared up, they would serve a second notice, and then fine her if the issue wasn't taken care of. She came to me asking my advice as I have always been helpful to her and her late husband. She is and he was, great people.

I just felt bad for her that no one reached out to her, as she was visibly shaken, or for that matter, me, as I see the bike nazi almost daily and exchange pleasantries. The bike nazi is well aware that I am helpful to my neighbor with things around her house.
