Please. Where did I say the beaches weren’t beautiful? I’ve been to the Amalfi Coast in February, the Sicilian coast around Taormina in early March, and Palermo and the Tyrrhenian Coast of Sicily around the same time, plus quite a few other coastal spots like Maratea in between. The big lidos (beach clubs) aren’t open this early, many beach businesses are still closed for the season, hotels like Le Sirenuse in Posi close completely and won’t reopen until early April......I love to go to Italian coastal towns in the off season. They go back to being locals only. BUT, many ppl would be disappointed to hit up a place where more than half of the businesses are closed (as I found in Giardini Naxos in Feb).
