They can do this because it's an unofficial impeachment inquiry. No resolution has been passed. It just a dog and pony show. Nothing enforceable by the judiciary

For the people that can see through Schiff's shell game, all we can do is call him out so that more people see it. But you are right. A lot of people will be fooled and the media will play along to help fool people.
