Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Hoover, and Homewood = your kid is ultra safe, has tremendous educational and extracurricular opportunities, and almost assuredly goes to college.

Birmingham where those municipalities broke away from = crime infested shithole with some of the worst graduation rates in the country.
