It has become something I laugh at instead of partaking in. It seems like there is no true discourse from either side. It’s become a dick measuring contest with nobody wanting to “lose”

Spoken like a true loyal democrat. The fact that you try to share blame admits you see the guiltiness of the Devil draped with blue. So you try to pin it to both parties to justify your acceptance of the evil you see going on.
It's similar to justifying not stopping a crime or not correcting a person when you have similar past histories...It happens often in the hood, people take the I will mind my own business, while some lady or man gets their head cracked, and then they will follow up with the rationalization that the person being abused deserved it. At some point you have to man up and say enough is enough.
