Stay somewhere in BR and UBER to the game. Do not stay across the river. I would recommend, actually staying at the Casino- L'auberge. They run a bus between the hotel and the school, post game. Traffic after a Big SEC game at LSU is unlike anything you have ever seen. I promise you do not want to have to drive, park, what ever.

If LSU keeps winning it will be a day game (CBS2:30), so watch the forecast. Get tickets now, don't wait. Face value is $125ish, that price will quadruple in two weeks. Odds are it will be 90 degrees at kickoff, dress appropriately . Sit on the west side, Lower recommended. Get club seats if possible. I am not opposed to skyline club-great view & free food. Do not sit in the lower or middle south, the seats are uncomfortable, but better than they used to be. Do not sit in the upper east, too much sun. The north end zone is too loud in my opinion because of the Sound system. Be prepared for more profanity than at a Richard Pryor Show, if you do decide to sit in the north endzone (youtube "LSU neck").

If you have no rooting interest, wear neutral colors, no red, no blue, no orange. (Michigan T-shirt is acceptable even though it is blue.)

When you get to campus, tell LSU fans who you are, where you are from, and why you are here. Its the south, we are friendly unless you are from Alabama or Florida. LSU fans will welcome you with open arms. If they do not, move on to the next tailgate. I promise this wont be an issue.

Eat the food. Don't ask what it is. Don't ask whats in it. Just eat it.

BYOB. Get a little portable icechest you can carry around under one arm, that you are OK with trowing away. Put 6 or 8 beers in it. You will be thirsty and it is a party where almost everyone drinks all day. Yes you can drink in public. Yes you can get drunk in public without getting arrested, although I do not recommend it. It is "legal" as long as you are over 21 and not making a scene.

Get to tailgate early, like 7-8 am. Tailgate really starts at 4AM for a good SEC opponent day game. But thing really get kicked off after 8.

No Smoking. The cops will write you a ticket for smoking. Vaping is Okay here (currently).

Understand that tailgating will occur in 2-3 miles in any direction from the stadium except for north (only about a 1/2 mile or so north).

Do not wonder north of campus without someone from the area that you really trust unless you are going to Louie's(not recommended), the chimes or the Varsity. It is a very rough neighborhood.

The river is west, its a dirty river, nothing to see there.

The lakes are east, a nice place to see.

Tigerland is south. Do not get lost in "Tigerland" at night. Look, the bars are okay, but you are risking getting into a bad situation you really don't want to be in. If you need to eat out, go to the chimes, or Walkons. Hell, if you want to go get some drinks at a cool bar, go to the Varsity, the Chimes, or Walkons after the game. Any of those are a great choice.

Good Luck.

UBER to the game

Only do this if you plan to stay after the game for a few hours. Contraflow will not let Ubers get in after half time so you will have to wait. The Lauberge recommendation is the way to go.

My season tickets are here. I agree. If you are bringing a lady she will appreciate having a real bathroom as well.

Sport Michigan gear. You're going to get "heckled", but more likely than not you'll make friends and get a beer and a plate of food out of it.

State street. Stay south of that and you have nothing to worry about.
