My fishing partner is my 13 year old son.
3 years ago he was 10 so I launched the boat by myself in February.
I unhook the boat and put a 10 foot rope tied to the boat on my trailer. I back into the river and let the boat float off then slowly pull forward and hand the rope to my son while I park the truck.
Well, I forgot to tie the rope to the trailer. So the boat just floated off without us.
The white bass were running so thankfully there were plenty of people in other boats to help.
But I was the laughing stick of the boat ramp that day.
