NASCAR guys have essentially a whole car of spare parts in the pits and garage.
Tour de France riders have extra bikes, both personalized fit and generic, plus extra wheels, on a car behind them.
How is it that NFL players don’t have an extra dozen or so extra helmets on the sidelines?

They said he was upset because he was out of the game while the guy was working on his helmet. I would hope he could bring himself to wear an extra helmet for a few plays if that’s what it took to get in the game,
