Completely disagree. It was clear that our only hope was for the offense to win the game outright. Go conservative there and high chance we lose.

I didn't say go conservative. I said ten yards is your goal. Make those ten yards and you win the game because Texas has to burn it's final timeout and you control the use of the clock. Run or pass and do what you have to do to gain those ten yards. Trying to gain twenty five on that first down attempt was stupid. Scoring that touchdown instead of taking a knee at the five was stupid. Take the knee, BURN the clock, then kick your field goal to take a nine point lead with perhaps, at most, twenty seconds left on the clock and Texas having no timeouts and needing two scores to beat you. Scoring that touchdown gave Texas an opportunity to come back and tie or go for two and win the game. They could possibly have scored their TD earlier and had more time on the clock than 22 seconds. Don't give them the chance to do this. Eat the clock is your BEST choice at this point.
