Will I get in trouble if I watch a movie at my buddies house? I'm viewing content I didn't pay for or own right? I better get an alibi for that sorta like a VPN.

The simple description would be a program that scours the internet for streaming links of copyrighted content. All in one nicely packaged program.
the wrong description
Kodi as its core is a media player

I don't care about that but trying to claim it isn't mainly used to package together links to copyrighted info is a straight up lie.
Look up XBMC please
Kodi doesn't come packaged with anything illegal.
No organized crime was buying devices and preloading them with Kodi and and addons to allow to you watch shite illegally but Kodi at its base is not packaged with illegal shite.
If that was the case it would not be on the MS Store.

On the flip side, I was looking up one of my cousin's basketball games in the 1993 March Madness. Sure enough, Youtube had the entire game. I wonder if that got the express written consent of the NCAA to post it? I doubt it! And yeah, no one takes it down either.

You people are hilarious. Kodi is 98% used for copyrighted material. You are either stupid or straight up lying to claim otherwise.
Hell the fracking OP wants to learn how to replace cable by using Kodi. Thus pirated material.
I never said it didn't have legal uses. It does. But you are full of shite if you think the majority of folks aren't using to get pirated content.
Hell, go to youtube and type in KODI installation and you will get 1000s of videos on how to set up KODI to get free movies.
Quit claiming otherwise because you look like a simpleton.
Heck, just do a google search and include Tigerdroppings and KODI. See how many are for legit uses.

What?
No I don't. I already have Hulu Live, Netflix and Prime Video.
I've just seen people mention Kodi and didn't know exactly what it was.

No one is claiming it isn’t used for that purpose. We are just clarifying what the program actually is, it’s not the plugins you add to it. That is just what people mainly do with it.
