Maglite. They just work.

I have probably a dozen of the smaller AA Maglites throughout the house. I have a LED C battery size in the bedroom, truck, and workshop. With LED bulbs, none of mine a rechargeable as they just last longer.

AA Maglite
C Maglite

ETA: I price shopped both of those when I bought them last. It has been over a year since Ive bought either and that is probably not the best prices nor close to what I paid for any of mine.

Until the batteries in them get hot and swell and you can't get them out of the maglite. Then they are a bitch to GET to work.
