I don't blame anyone for being unimpressed by the final stat sheet on defense but it was a really good gameplan from Herman, and I think that boils down to him knowing the system Orlando and Aranda run inside and out. He knew where the soft spots would be all night, and Ehlinger just flat out made throws. I don't necessarily think Texas has the best offense we'll face, but I do think this was the toughest offensive matchup we'll face all year.

I think the heat was the great equalizer. Early in the game our defense was effective. We had a comfortable lead and the ball after the half. Unfortunately we made a mistake by dropping a third down conversion. They made a long time consuming drive and our defense never recovered.
From then to the finish it was a contest between offenses. Fortunately Burrow and the receivers were able to keep up the pace.
