I built 2 years ago and went with LVP because my home is elevated and I didn't want ceramic cracking up. I'm impressed with the durability so far. I have 2 dogs and 2 kids under 6. There is no comparison to laminate flooring. We wet mop frequently, kids have left leaking drinks overnight, spills, etc have left no buckling, and I don't have a single scratch from an 80 pound dog's nails. The only thing that has scratched it so far is a nail head sticking out of the bottom of a piece of heavy furniture being dragged across it.

I just finished build a house with lvp on the first floor. As the poster stated above nothing compares to it. My 45 lbs golden retriever destroyed the laminate floor at my other house in 2 years. No scratches so far and it is fairly easy to keep clean.
