Lue wants nothing to do with LeBron again. He’s seen that show before. I can’t say I blame him. LeBron's legacy will be chasing GMs and coaches out of town.

I mean, he wanted the Lakers job, so I’m not sure how you can say that with respect to Lue.

This wasn't it at all.
The Lakers wanted Lue on a contract for the same length as LeBron, which makes a lot of sense because Lue and LeBron are close.
Lue wanted 5 years, not 3 years. That was the issue. It's pretty much the opposite of what you said, though. LeBron didn't chase Lue off, LeBron is pretty much the only reason Lue was considered for a 3 year offer.
