re: How much input did you have on your child's first name?

I basically named him.

We always knew the middle name was going to be the first name of one of our great-grandparents. If it was a boy, the middle name would come from my side. If it was a girl, the middle name would come from her side.


When we found out we were having a boy, I thought about names for about a day.

I mentioned the first and middle name, and she liked the sound of it and went with it.
