I was incredibly homesick for 2 years. As family and friends came to visit, more and more moved here. Met other La natives in the area and it’s like a secret club We get together frequently to watch games, hang out, enjoy home cooked La foods, etc.

It makes me sad to visit NOLA or BR now. The traffics is horrific, infrastructure below par and I swear customer service IQ drops 20 points just crossing the border. Its just not how I remember it anymore.

This is what people don’t get. Suburbs in other states, hell even inner cities, aren’t full of the number of idiot people you have to deal with like in Louisiana.

I spent a few days in downtown Detroit and I swear service was twice as good as Nola.

Every store I go to here is chick fil a level service. Every place in Metairie is “our shake machine be broke.”
