re: Anyone ever fracture their humerus?

I fractured my humerus playing football and the pain was so intense I passed out taking a standing x-ray. They put me in a sling with a very wide and thick ACE bandage to wrap around my upper body to hold the arm in place for 10 weeks (thank goodness it was fall and getting cooler). The other option was an upper body cast, so sling it was. pain sucked hard for a week and a half and only meds will let you sleep. Gets better eventually of course, but it is slow. rehab was a breeze. she will be in a grove in 10 days and on the mend. Best of luck!
