first time I asked my Dad if I could buy a car he had the sit down and breakdown of every cost associated of owning a vehicle talk, it was a bit daunting, when my first kid turned 16 the mindset of the kids in her class were not what kind of car do you wish you could get, but what are you getting for your 16th birthday?


ETA: I did have a friend that bought, and paid cash for, a brand new Dodge Challenger, from money he'd saved up from a paper route and working odd jobs, when he was 17, I ended up getting that paper route from him
