There are resources. And there are ways to get what people need. Unless they have economic resources they are unwilling to tap that excludes them based on financial means or they refuse to put forth any effort to get the available assistance. Never had an issue in 20 years unless someone had too many assets and refused to touch them or were to lazy to fill out a few forms. That is a good post. I know people who have had to tap into their savings or investments to pay for medical costs. Luckily they made very good money but it still ate away a lot of what they had.

I just wonder if this couple did that and had exhausted what they had?
