Parrains is effectively more of a chain than Stinky’s,

I was aware that both are at least multi location restaurants, if not chains.

Neither are foodie restaurants.

I used the term foodie incorrectly, I just don’t know the term for someone who appreciates good food of all varieties but who isn’t pretentious (the way I think of most self proclaimed foodies, probably not really true as a blanket state, ent) in what she likes and takes time to research and read individual reviews when choosing new restaurants.

Parrains.

Stinky’s best dishes (fresh catch) are better than Parrains, but on average the other way.

Exactly the type of run down I’m looking for.

Go to Umami.

That looks really good but I don’t think it’s what my son is looking for today.

Thanks

Enjoy the time with your boy, lots of life decisions are coming his way. Let him know that incremental failures aren’t the end, and being right all the time at the expense of human interaction and friendship just makes you lonely...and being right but alone is no way to live. Leaving LSU with the girl of my dreams has been way more valuable than the physics and MS in EE degrees, and it’s not even close.
