You're conveniently leaving out that the division is not written with /, but rather ÷, which according to some sources has the connotation of implicitly applying parentheses to everything on both sides of the symbol. Thus it becomes (8)/(2(2+2)) which is unequivocally 1 no matter your order of operations.

As you wrote it, answer is 16 for normal people.
