I mean this makes sense but it doesn't make sense.

Either this girl is the madam(unlikely) or she was one of the prostitutes. With how you wrote about her, she was one of the prostitutes considering she 'worked' and married this rich lawyer out of town.

Now let's say she did marry this high power attorney. She made it, her hooker days are done, and she accomplished her end goal. So why the hell is she still working at this country club doing backroom deals renting it out to Ye Ye and his boys? I'm not buying it.

On to the blackmail thing. Why would her high powered lawyer husband let her do this? He had to be chummy with the head person and all the other rich guys buying the women. He wouldn't throw his hat into that legal circus over a manager job at the club. Plus, when you marry the whore, you usually take her away from the whore place. You know, so your wife doesn't get all the same dick again before you.

Sounds like some older rich men are maybe fricking some of the staff and/or their side pieces. This is completely plausible considering they probably all go hang there after work or golf and drink.
