Now could he work from home? Probably.

Considering he does it already, yes he can. That's all I'm asking and don't feel it's unreasonable. Take 2 weeks to recover if that's what you need, but it's pretty shitty to not be available for 6 weeks in my opinion. He can lay in bed and answer emails.

I understand it's allowed, I just think it's pretty shitty to just say frick it for 6 weeks, I know I wouldn't shut it down for 6 weeks, to help the people picking up my slack if nothing else.

While hopped up on codeine and mountain dew? Sounds like a great idea.

Hire a temp until he returns. Preferably a hot, immoral blonde with big tits and a fat arse

My mother recently had quadruple bypass heart surgery. Her surgeon told her no work at all for 4 weeks, followed by another 4 works where she can work at home, starting off just a couple of hours a day, and increasing as she gets stronger. Then, next 4 weeks, she can work every day but should do some days at home and some at the office. After 12 weeks, back to office full time.

She normally works M-Th in the office and Fridays at home.

A torn ACL isn't the same as heart bypass surgery, but the fact remains that even if he works at home, he needs to be strong enough, and coherent enough, and in no real pain, to do that.
