If you ever wondered what the financial driving force is behind the push to destroy the nation state and drive the world into a state of open borders, one world government, etc. besides the usual suspects for political reasons.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/business-leaders/why-bank-of-america-cut-ties-with-businesses-operating-detention-centers

An article on Bank of America cutting off business ties with businesses operating the border patrol and ICE facilities.

A very telling quote from their CEO:

quote:

"We need to get immigration right. We need people in this country. We're not creating people fast enough. The population is growing half the rate it was before the financial crisis. We'll grow faster if we have more people."

There's no such thing as American companies anymore. Coke, Nike, Google, Amazon, Apple, whatever. They are not American companies. There's no such concept anymore. Large publicly traded companies have one goal, growth. No amount of money is ever enough. What drives the stock prices higher (as well as executives, who's pay and bonuses are almost entirely tied to stock price) is GROWTH. Constant growth, no matter what. Always grow. Always expand. If you aren't growing, you're dying.

All these corporations know no loyalty to a nation, only to their insane pursuit of unsustainable growth. They hate anything that stands in the way of new markets, new customers, and more growth. They will gladly see the entire US way of life crumble if it means they can grow their revenues a little bit more.

Bank of America

Piss on BoA. They worried about the population in the states? Maybe they should check their clientele files. The wife tried to use her credit card about six weeks ago. It was denied. She called them and they said she was deceased. Dumbasses. Upside, she didn't receive a statement for her outstanding balance when her bill was normally due.

Wouldn’t globalism be the genesis of ruining the free market?

The free market is what gives folks the cash to pay for corporations’ shite.

So I’m not completely convinced about this in a non vacuum environment.

Moynihan is very woke. I went to a small group lunch where he spoke recently - sticking up to China to keep them from investing in American banks was about as conservative as he got. Everything else was pro immigration, anti capitalism, excessive regulations, feelings type stuff.

Too broad of a statement.

I own a corporation, and I can tell you I'm not a driving force behind globalism with my 25 employees designing and managing employee group benefits packages, 401k's, and family retirement planning portfolios.

You're talking about billion dollar multi-national conglomerate monopolies that are part of the Donor Class, who participate in the Military Industrial Complex, and have entire law firms on payroll drawing up physical legislation that makes it's way to corrupted and owned Legislators who pass it for their and their cronies benefit.

98% of "Corporations" and the "Free-Market Capitalist Society" in this country don't fit that profile.

So be careful with your language when trying to educate people. Sometimes the details matter.

Are you barely figuring this out? It's what capitalism does. You want to have the most amount of people available to buy your product.

Why else do you think these corporations whored themselves out last month for pride month? You want your brand to look as welcoming as possible so people of all walks of life can buy your product.

Duh.
quote:

Large publicly traded companies have one goal, growth.

That's not their "goal", publically traded corps have one legal responsibility - the fiduciary duty to increase shareholder value using whatever legal means at their disposal.

Legal means include:

Investing in legal representation to promote corps rights as citizens - to include free speech.

Investing in legal representation to promote the recognition of campaign contributions as "speech".

Lobbying legislators (that may have been elected, in part, with corp contributions) to pass laws that favor large corps.
quote:

All these corporations know no loyalty to a nation

They shouldn't be expected to as they're not legally bound to be.
quote:

their insane pursuit of unsustainable growth

It's not their insanity, it's their legal responsibility.
quote:

They hate anything that stands in the way of new markets, new customers, and more growth. They will gladly see the entire US way of life crumble if it means they can grow their revenues a little bit more.

Corps don't hate. Think of them like machines, they will do what they are designed to do - no more, no less.
