The cultures that I love; Saints, Cajun, LSU and Nola don’t dominate the atmosphere there. That is why Houston culture sucks.
Houston, IMO, has the best food in the USA. One reason being its close proximity to Cajun country and awesome Tex-Mex food. Not to mention all the other worldly cuisines available.
Secondly, there is a HUGE LSU presence in Houston.
Thirdly, the Saints don’t have a national following. Hell, I grew up in North Louisiana and we got the Cowboys games instead of the Saints(and I hate Cowboys)
Finally, New Orleans has great food and Bourbon Street used to be fun, but a weekend in New Orleans is enough to last me a year....or two.
