It all comes down to the OL. We have the playmakers to be able to create open space and we have a QB that can throw it to Them. Only problem is can we finally stop that Bama front 7 from being able to sack the QB and disrupt the pocket causing the QB to scramble or to get sacked

That and getting the ball out quickly. If Joe has a weakness it's that he holds on to the ball too long at times. Joe Brady should be the perfect solution for that. Excited to see the new aged offense that should help offset the O line defencies

When it comes to Clemson's offensive success against Alabama, everyone harps on the fact that Clemson spreads them out. Everyone believes this is key factor but it's just the beginning.

Clemson is able to have success because they go into each matchup with a game plan to run as many offensive plays as possible with an uptempo approach. They use spreading them out, uptempo & the matchup philosophy early on to exploit the underneath passing game. This allows them to sustain drives & put points on the board in the 1st half.

That accomplishes two things. The volume of plays begin to wear on Bama's front by the 3rd quarter. That's when Clemson is able to begin to take deep shots downfield because the Tide's pass rush is becoming fatigued. Secondly, it opens up the run game due to Bama's front not being able to provide the push to stop the run.

Clemson executed this game plan to perfection in this past championship game. Its why you saw Bama players for the first time under Saban, begin to give a half assed effort. They quit.

On the otherhand, SEC West teams like LSU, Miss St & Arkansas have tried to pound Alabama with the run game early when they are fresh. All that does is get your offense 3 & outs while keeping Bama's front fresh for 2nd half. The only west team that has somewhat had success in the past few years against Bama is Ole Miss & they used the same formula as Clemson. The key to slowing their pass rush down is an uptempo approach using intermediate routes in the 1st half. Once you wear down their front, it allows an offense to open up the playbook in the 2nd half.
