Why? New Orleans is a tourist city, and AiraBnB hasn't hurt cities like Austin or Charleston, etc. Is there some hotel advocacy or something in play?

Here's the crybaby version of why some people in New Orleans don't like Air BnB. Ultimately the poors who rent are upset that the property owners would rather make more money and kick them out of their residences. "It destroys neighborhoods!" These complainants are also people who work in service industry jobs and fail to realize that Air BnB increase the number of tourists who can visit the city and thus line their pockets with money.

Just wondering, would you be okay if your neighbor would use their house as an airbnb? This seems like a situation where a lot of people are ok with it as long as its not in their neighborhood.
