re: Why is drinking before noon frowned upon?

went on vacation with the family and friends a few years back. we were waiting to get on this pirate ship cruise thing in gulf shores. I left and came back with a cooler full of beer and opened one up. One of my wife's friends looked at me and said "it's 9 o'clock in the morning!".

I said "i know, i'm getting a late start". she barely spoke to me the rest of the week. made the vacation even better.
